Birth Doulas in Surrey, BC
We have a Birth Pool available to rent! Read more here, fill out this form or get in touch for more information!
We're both pre-approved for the BCAAFC grant for aboriginal parents.
Birth Doula Package Includes:
1 in-person or on the phone consultation at no charge.
2 prenatal visits, to discuss your hopes and preferences for birth, and for us to teach you some birth basics, comfort measures, and so much more. You will have a chance to meet both of your doulas at these meetings.
Anytime phone support from time of hire until our last postpartum visit. Call, text, or email, when you have questions, concerns, or updates to share.
On-call for labour support starting at 37 weeks.
You will let us know when your labour begins and you will decide when you would like your doula to attend. She will stay with you during your labour, your baby’s birth, and for up to two hours post-delivery, until you are ready for quiet time with your family. If you need support with breastfeeding, we can help.
During labour, we will play a supportive role for both you and your partner, should you have one, encouraging and standing with you through the birthing process. We will help you to feel calm and safe, so that you can follow your body's instincts and urges. We provide relief if needed, with such things as massage, acupressure, suggestions of change in position, and pain relief techniques, including use of our TENS unit and birth pool. We will act as a calming presence throughout your journey.
2 postpartum visits, to support you as you adjust to life at home with your new baby. This can include basic breastfeeding support, help with newborn care (first bath, nail clipping, babywearing), and more.
$1200 (retainer $600 to reserve your spot)

All Cedar Sisters babies receive the gift of a tiny tree after they are born. The tree will be around the same age as your baby, so that they can grow up together.
We have all kinds of species you can choose from: red cedar, douglas fir, red maple, oak, chestnut, and more. You can see how big Emma and her red maple are growing! They were born in 2016.
Taking care of the Earth is one of our great passions, and we love having the opportunity to share it with your growing family!
